Residential & Retail Development, Navan

Rapport Architects developed this residential led development on the edge of Navan town centre. With the growth and expansion of Dublin, Navan too has grown to become a commuter town to the capital. With this growth the requirement for housing has seen the development of a number of key sites.

Planning approval has been granted to redevelop this site to incorporate the existing retail unit, provide additional retail fronting Commons Road and incorporate and expand the existing Solicitor’s Offices above. To the rear of the site car parking is provided to service the commercial uses and to provide parking for the fifteen apartments which form a south facing courtyard layout with views to the north across the Tara Mines railway spur to the hospital.

This site is bounded by Commons Road to the front and the railway line along its side. The proposal provides 15 large family apartments, with 10,000ft2 of office accommodation, and 5000ft2 of retail activating the ground floor frontage along Commons Road.

The project was approved for planning permission in just four months and is due to start in early 2013.
