Navan Shopping Centre, Navan

This retail led project provides a significant retail offering for Navan town centre. The centre provided a new purpose built unit for Marks and Spencer, with activated frontage along the length of Abbey Road.

This project completes the retail buildings at the Navan Shopping Centre district. A retail and office building turns the corner from Abbey Road into the centre, and the main block provides Marks and Spencer with a 25,000ft2 retail unit, the first in County Meath. The office block provides a further 20,000ft2 of grade A office accommodation.

Three levels of parking are situated above and a glass lift connects to the retail below. A walkway with internal travelator links with the existing shopping centre via the new North Mall extension. The building uses a number of facade technologies to reduce solar gains to the building, naturally keeping it cool. Brise soleil fixtures and louvered rainscreens have been used extensively for this reason.

The project was completed in 2011.
