How We Work

Rapport Architects was established in the Spring of 2011, moving into its new premises on the edge of Belfast city centre. The practice was formed from HKR Architects’ former Belfast subsidiary (HKR Belfast).

Under the directorship of Michael Galbraith and Irwin McNeill, the practice boasts an outstanding staff, with a huge amount of collective experience in delivering projects across a wide range of sectors, in UK and Ireland, USA and Canada, Middle East, and North Africa.

Rapport Architects currently have a number of projects on the boards ranging from private residences to mixed use city centre regeneration projects, encompassing hotel, office and retail developments, private health-care facilities, and research and development buildings. The practice has quickly adapted to market changes to ensure that it can deliver a world class service to its expanding client base.

In its first year Rapport Architects has grown quickly, and has already had a number of notable successes. In 2011 the practice was awarded the prestigious BBC ‘House of the Year’ Award for the Scott House. Subsequently the practice’s submitted entry to the worldwide ‘Home’ competition, arranged by the Building Trust International was shortlisted.
